2020s Thelwall Photo Project
I've been working on a project in my home village of Thelwall to photograph residents in front of their home. With the help of Sue Lees who managed to organise the appointments over several months, we were able to capture 50+ homes. This will now make a photographic record of Thelwall in the 2020s. And what a year it's been! I've set up this page to safely store and share the pictures I have captured with all the residents who are involved in the project. Thank you to everyone involved, we couldn't have done it without you.
We have Thelwall’s eleventh centenary to celebrate in 2023 and a special event was planned for 2020 (postponed due to COVID-19) to showcase what’s been achieved with the Conservation and Community Heritage Project, funded by the National Lottery. In the 1800s, the population of Thelwall was only 63 households - probably 300 people at most. Today Thelwall has a population of around 4000 in a village that expanded rapidly westwards in the post-war years.
During the project I had several queries about purchasing additional prints and digital downloads etc. Although it was not my intention to sell additional images, I appreciate the residents who took part may like more than the free mounted collage print received for taking part. Due to these requests, you’ll find details on some additional package options here. Please note, any prints or downloads purchased will not have any watermark on them.
Please feel free to contact me if there’s anything you require that’s not listed or have any specific requirements. If you would prefer to discuss or place an order over the phone, feel free to give me a call.
